On behalf of Tamworth Baseball Inc., President Hayley Bullock cordially invites your team to participate in our 56th June Long Weekend Baseball Carnival.

 

For over 50 years, the Tamworth Baseball Association has proudly hosted this annual event, welcoming teams from across New South Wales, ACT and Queensland. This carnival is an opportunity for players of all skill levels to compete, renew friendships, and enjoy a weekend filled with baseball, camaraderie, and celebration.

 

We are excited to extend the invitation once again and look forward to another fantastic tournament.

 

Important Information:

  • Team Opened: 1st December 2024.
  • Team Registrations Close: 2nd May 2025.
  • Team Rosters Due by: 9th May 2025.
  • Registration Link: Tamworth Baseball Website.
  • Minimum Participation Age: 15 years old.
  • Payment: Registration fees and bond must be paid at the time of registration.
  • Withdrawal Deadline: Teams that withdraw after 24th May 2025 will forfeit their full registration fee.

 

Nomination Fees:

  • A & B Grade: $750
  • C & D Grade: $700
  • E to G Grade: $675
  • H to J Grade: $650

Registrations open on 1st December with early bird pricing. Prices will increase by 5% on 1st January and by an additional 5% on 1st April for late registrations.

A $300 refundable bond is included in the fees and will be returned upon successful completion of the carnival without breaches of conduct or carnival rules.

 

Registration & Team Requirements:

  • Team lists must be submitted via email to tbisecretaryau@gmail.com. The required form can be found on our website - Tamworth Baseball Website.
  • Contact details for all players, officials, and supporters must be provided, including phone numbers and addresses.
  • The draw will be released as early as two weeks before the carnival.
  • There will be some media coverage at the carnival. Please let us know if anyone on your team does not wish to have their image used.
  • Grading is at the committee’s discretion; this may see teams move to a different division.
  • Previous years winning teams are required to nominate in the grade above their previous division.
  • Bat Regulations:
    • A to D Grade: Wooden BBCOR or composite bats.
    • Exceptions: Female players and 15-year-old male players may use an aluminium bat (BBCOR -5 specification).

 

Coaching, Umpiring & Scoring Responsibilities:

  • Each team must supply an umpire.
    • A & B Grade teams require accredited umpires.
  • Each team must provide a scorer and submit results after each game. A future email will advise of the process.
  • All team coaches must hold Level B Coaching Accreditation.

 

Player Registration:

  • All players must be registered and financial members of Baseball Australia.
  • All players must be registered and financial members of Baseball NSW.
  • All players that are members of Baseball Australia but not members of Baseball NSW will incur a Baseball NSW fee.
  • Non-registered players may register for a short tournament registration via: Tamworth Baseball Website.

 

Bond Refund Conditions:

Bonds will be refunded at the end of the carnival provided that:

  • Umpire duties are fulfilled.
  • There are no breaches of conduct or carnival rules.

 

Further details will be sent to all registered teams closer to the carnival date.
